FC 27 Level 50: The Pro Clubs Level Cap Rise, Explained
Level 40 today, 50 expected from Season 2. What the rise adds to your pro, what the game already shows past 40, and what to do with a level-40 build.
Updated — the cap is 40 today; 50 expected from Season 2 (Season 1 ends 22 October 2026)
FC 27's Pro Clubs level cap is 40 today, and the next season is expected to raise it to 50. EA has not announced the number. What it has shipped already says a rise is coming: every archetype lists a second Signature Perk at level 45, ten levels past the cap. This page is what the rise adds to your pro, what is known and what is not, and what to do with a build made at 40. Every figure below is read from the game; the expected ones are marked.
FC 27 Pro Clubs · the level cap
| Your pro | At level 40 (today) | At level 50 (expected) |
|---|---|---|
| AP, all-in | 962 AP | 1,269 AP (+307) * |
| Signature PlayStyles (gold) | 1, PlayStyle+ from level 20 | 2 - a second turns gold ** |
| Signature Perks | 1, from level 10 | 2 - the second is listed at level 45 in the game |
| Regular PlayStyle slots | 3, opened at 5, 15, 40 | not known - read the day it ships |
| Mastery points | 2, at 10 and 30 | not known |
| Card | Gold 1 | not known |
* If levels 41-50 pay what FC 26's did. AP per level was identical in FC 26 and FC 27 from 1 to 40, so this is the one expectation with a basis; the figure is replaced by the game's own the day the cap moves. ** FC 26 turned the second Signature PlayStyle gold at level 50; EA has not said where FC 27 does. EA has not announced the new cap; 50 is our expectation.
What the game already shows past level 40
Open any archetype in FC 27 and the Perks tab lists two: one unlocked at level 10, and one at level 45. Nobody can reach the second one at a cap of 40. The thirteen are below, as the game describes them.
Listed in the game today, above the cap

| Progressor | Goalkeepers Favourite | Receive a pass from GK in the defensive third for a boost to Long Passing, Short Passing, and Vision. |
| Boss | Box Controller | Clear the ball from the defensive box for a short boost to Heading, Jumping, and Reactions. |
| Marauder | Tackle and Run | Successful Stand Tackle on the defensive wing for a boost to Acceleration, Agility, and Sprint Speed. |

From the game's own archetype screens, where each archetype lists two Perks: one from level 10 and one from level 45. A level 45 Perk in a game capped at 40 is the clearest sign the cap was always going to move.
What a higher cap changes for a build
Three things, in order of how much they matter.
More AP. A level-40 pro has 962 AP all-in, and in FC 27 that budget is the whole game: the price of a point climbs steeply past 84, so most builds stop at band edges and buy their PlayStyle requirements as cheaply as the maths allows. If levels 41-50 pay what they paid in FC 26 (a larger award at 45 (44 AP) and 50 (63 AP)), the rise is worth 307 AP - enough to lift two or three attributes a band, or to reach the 90+ criteria of a specialization that a level-40 build cannot afford.
A second gold PlayStyle. In FC 27 each archetype carries one Signature PlayStyle, which upgrades to PlayStyle+ at level 20 - today: Shot Stopper Far Reach, Sweeper Keeper Footwork, Progressor Long Ball Pass, Boss Bruiser, Marauder Quick Step, Disruptor Jockey, Recycler Intercept, Maestro Pinged Pass, Creator Incisive Pass, Spark Trickster, Magician Technical, Finisher Low Driven Shot, Target Precision Header. In FC 26 the second Signature turned gold at level 50. If FC 27 follows, a cap of 50 hands every build a second gold PlayStyle without spending a point on it - which is exactly the thing specializations charge 90+ in three attributes for now.
The second Perk. The level-45 Perks above are situational boosts, not attributes: a Finisher 1v1 with the keeper, a Disruptor who wins the ball in their own half. They change how a build plays for a few seconds at a time, and they come free with the level.
Your level-40 build is a head start, not a write-off
Nothing is taken away when the cap rises. The 962 AP you spent stay spent; the new levels add on top. So the question is not "do I start over" but "where was this build short at 40" - a pace floor you let slip to afford a PlayStyle, a specialization criterion stuck at 88, a fourth attribute in the signature zone. The ready-made builds at level 40 and the position pages below are built to those limits, and every one of them has room to grow into. When the cap moves, Pro Clubs HQ re-prices them at the new level and the builder prices yours.
When Season 2 starts
EA's launch notes run Season 1 - Ones to Watch - to 22 October 2026, so Season 2 begins right after it. EA's published notes so far describe seasons by their themes and rewards, and say nothing about the Clubs level cap; the cap moved mid-release in FC 26 as well, from 50 to 100, in a title update rather than a season announcement. The moment it moves in FC 27, the level rewards table gets the new levels, this page gets the real numbers in place of the expected ones, and the builder, the Meta and the house builds move to the new cap.

Frequently asked questions
Is the FC 27 Pro Clubs level cap 50?
Not yet. The cap is 40 today. Season 2 is expected to raise it to 50; EA has not announced the number, and this page is updated the day it ships.
When does FC 27 Season 2 start?
EA's launch notes run Season 1 to 22 October 2026, so Season 2 follows it. EA has not published Season 2's own notes yet.
How much AP do you have at level 50?
962 AP at level 40 today. If levels 41-50 pay what FC 26's did, 1,269 AP at 50 - 307 more to spend. The game's own figure replaces this the day the cap moves.
Do you get a second Signature PlayStyle?
Every archetype has one gold Signature PlayStyle in FC 27 (PlayStyle+ from level 20). FC 26 turned a second one gold at level 50; whether FC 27 does the same at 50 is EA's to announce.
What happens to my level-40 build?
Nothing is lost. A build at the old cap keeps every point; the new levels add AP on top, and you spend it where the build was short - a floor you skipped, a specialization you could not afford at 40.
Is my progress reset when the cap rises?
No. Levelling continues from where your pro is. A cap rise opens levels above it; it does not touch the ones below.
